The oldest preserved Czech chronicle in verse and prose translation Are you still postponing the reading of significant literary-historical monuments of Czech literature because the complexity of Old Czech or perhaps the epic in verse discourages you? The Bohemists from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Eva Pasáčková and Martina Spěváčková, have prepared a literal translation of the Dalimil Chronicle from the traditionally published Daňhelka edition into contemporary language, allowing readers to freely transition from Old Czech verses to modern Czech thanks to the practical mirrored layout on the open double page of the book. Accompanying comments were written by medievalists from the Czech Academy of Sciences, Martin Nodl and Matouš Jaluška.
