A raw yet tender novel about unconditional sisterly love. College student Tilda lives with her ten-year-old sister Ida and their alcoholic mother in a gloomy gray house in a hated small town, from which all her classmates and friends have already left. While studying, she works as a cashier in a supermarket, takes care of her little sister, and sometimes even her mother. The daily routine is only enlivened by visits to the local swimming pool, where Tilda regularly swims her 22 'pools'. But then an offer for doctoral studies in Berlin comes. The prospect of moving to the big city tempts Tilda, but she hesitates: can she leave Ida alone with their unpredictable, dependent mother? Moreover, Viktor subtly enters her life, who may not just bring memories of the past...
