However, when their father died in a car accident here twenty years ago, they never returned — the memories were too painful. Therefore, the sisters are very surprised when their mother invites them for an extended weekend to Bergen to discuss a certain matter. It turns out that their mother wants to remarry and would like to introduce them to her fiancé — a local man whom her daughters had no idea about. Moreover, it seems that the man remembers the family from earlier times. The sisters decide to vet him before the hastily planned wedding and find out that he is not to be trusted. However, their mother is adamant that he is the right one for her. And then another secret comes to light...
