Two men travel from Great Britain to Brussels: free-thinking journalist Neil Bannerman and Kale – a professional assassin. Bannerman expects nothing more from the trip than tedious political research, but instead finds himself in the midst of a tragedy. His host, also a journalist, is found dead along with a British minister in the politician's house in central Brussels, both having apparently shot each other. The journalist's autistic daughter Tania, who was hiding in a closet during the shootout, later draws a chilling picture that includes a third person – a faceless man. Neil Bannerman suddenly finds himself unwittingly entangled in a murder investigation.
