For Fiškus and Pettson, Christmas is an adventure! Christmas is approaching, and Fiškus wishes more than anything to see the Christmas elf. Grandpa Pettson unwittingly promises the little cat that the elf will definitely come to him on Christmas Eve. But how to arrange that? After all, Christmas elves don't exist! Or do they? Pettson doesn't want to disappoint Fiškus, so he decides to secretly build a mechanical elf that will move and talk. However, he soon realizes what a difficult, even impossible task he has undertaken. Every time he wants to give up his efforts, something special happens that helps him continue. Will Grandpa manage to make the mechanical elf? And what really happens on Christmas Eve? Fiškus and the Christmas Elf is the longest story in the series about the restless little cat and the quirky inventor Pettson, and it is being published in Czech for the second time, nearly twenty years later.
