One time, one house, many fates. Every house has its story; some hide secrets, while others have their own destiny. Just like the yellow apartment building on an inconspicuous street in the City near the River. How much will it be determined by its residents — photographer and ornithologist Róza, writer Hilský, businessman Majer, agoraphobic Klára, or Mrs. Cartier, and… where has the janitor Vrána actually disappeared? While the residents of the house live seemingly independent lives, a strong narrative builds towards an unexpected ending. None of them realizes at that moment how much their everyday decisions not only reliably mend their own fate but also weave the destiny of the long-standing apartment building. Just like the nearby River, the lives of the neighbors are subject to subtle yet dramatically consequential changes beneath the illusion of permanence. And the only question remains: to what extent can the foreign stories in which a person finds themselves change their entire life?
