The poet of Czech action fantasy returns to the scene in a rainy crime noir. In the life of every private investigator, there comes a case after which nothing is ever the same. One such case appears before Vincent Krhavý at the bottom of a perpetually empty bottle, and when he can't rid himself of it even by tossing it into an ashtray full of butts, he ultimately takes it on. Thirst can be extremely cruel even in the advanced twenty-first century, and debts lead a person more to the grave than to the pub. With a hangover pounding at his temples and a soul full of demons, he boards a train to an isolated area called Rest. However, he can't even imagine the madness and suffering that await him there. The dead bodies won't keep him waiting long. The local underworld also makes its presence known, and reality transforms into a festering wound that even towering cynicism or a generous splash of bleach cannot heal.
