A vengeful mind devoid of senses, a victim prepared for the senses, the sun-baked Spanish coast, and a murderer with a heart as cold as ice. When police officer Cristina Sánchez Pradell goes with a colleague to a luxury villa on the Andalusian coast for an alleged burglary, she has no idea that her life is about to be turned upside down. In the villa, a confrontation occurs during which the escaped criminal Jack Cleland accidentally shoots his girlfriend. Cleland vows to take revenge on Cristina. The focus of his cruel plan becomes Cristina's aunt, who suffers from Usher syndrome, a rare disease that has robbed her of both hearing and sight. To assist the Spanish police, a brilliant but eccentric detective from Glasgow, John Mackenzie, is dispatched. The proud and independent Spaniard is understandably not thrilled about collaborating with an antisocial Scot. Will they be able to catch Cleland before the murderer has his final bloody word?
