We hid our faces behind masks and our lives behind four walls. This could briefly characterize the tightly-knit collection of stories created from mid-March to early June 2020. However, the coronavirus and quarantine are by no means the primary themes of the texts. The stories depict contemporary individuals in situations they have never encountered before, forcing them to reflect and reveal what they have hidden even from themselves. A family fleeing in panic from the city to relatives at a cottage, a lonely man barricaded in a panel apartment, Václav suspecting his wife of infidelity, or Tomáš, haunted by guilt, preparing to end a love affair. And then there are memories that suddenly inhabit every corner of an unfamiliar home, returns to childhood, to parents, to first loves, and to all those dusty life plans hidden on the shelves of oblivion. And finally, the question of how to return to reality after those hundred days.
