The volume includes the hagiographic treatise The Life of Saint Ivan (1657), the Christmas hymnbook Jesličky (1658) with transcribed Baroque notations, the meditative poem What God? Man? (1658), emblematic of Czech literary Baroque, and the verse catechism Christian Teaching Explained in Verses (1681), promising a deeper understanding of the essence of Baroque piety.
