Beschreibung
The author (born 1970) once began in the broad stream of spiritually inclined poetry, but over time the crust of this canonical poetics loosened in favor of chords that are rather non-confessional, civil, and formally unbound. Stöhr's fifth collection summarizes poems created since 2012, when his last book, Laughter from a Dream, was published. Poems as lyrical finds that would not be driven away. Sunken stained glass of memories and furtive longings along the journey through time, in which "our life is halfway through its journey." And gentle smiles over the futility of such endeavors on top. Lyricism used in the sense of experience, lyricism perhaps even useful to someone in the spirit of the well-known saying: "Poetry? Something for someone, nothing for everyone..."
