The untamed and rugged beauty of the Isle of Lewis intertwines with the dazzling world of Parisian fashion. Niamh and Ruairidh Macfarlane own the Hebridean luxury clothing brand Ranish Tweed. When they embark on a business trip to Paris together, Niamh unexpectedly learns of her husband's affair with a Russian fashion designer. Shortly after, she witnesses Ruairidh and his mistress perish in a bomb explosion. While Parisian police and their Scottish colleagues begin the investigation, Niamh returns home to the Isle of Lewis in mourning. Niamh starts sifting through memories of her life with Ruairidh and desperately tries to uncover who might have had a motive against her husband. Meanwhile, the French police rule out the possibility of a terrorist attack and lean towards murder. The main suspect is being tracked by investigator Sylvie Braque on the Isle of Lewis. One woman is grappling with the past, while the other is immersed in the investigation. Yet both gradually draw closer to an enemy with murderous intentions.
