Beschreibung
After the occupation of Donbas by Russia, journalist Stanislav Asejev ventured into the annexed areas to regularly report on the growing influence of Russia on the local population and the spread of propaganda among the working class. For his journalistic activities, he was subsequently arrested, imprisoned, and tortured in a concentration camp on the outskirts of Donetsk. With the help of European friends, he managed to escape to Prague, where he hid for some time. It was here that he wrote down his experiences and impressions from the concentration camp in the book 'The Path of Light.' Unvarnished, he describes the conditions in the Donetsk concentration camp and recounts not only his own fate but also the stories of fellow prisoners and other residents of Donbas. With the onset of the war, Asejev returned to Ukraine to actively participate in the fighting, but even during this time, he did not cease to report on the situation in the war zone.
