Beschreibung
The book addresses the issue of healthcare workers' interactions with patients and their family members. Through examples, the author tries to illustrate situations that commonly arise in healthcare and complicate patients' lives or may even harm them. At the end of each case, there is a lesson for readers on how they should ideally act in similar situations. The author draws from her experience as a long-time healthcare worker and from experiences she gained in life as a patient or a family member of a patient. At the same time, she introduces readers to some topics related to the activities of healthcare facilities that are generally not publicly discussed. Although most chapters paint a sad picture of Czech healthcare, the book aims to encourage readers that with their active attitude, they can better face everything that may arise in their lives when communicating with healthcare professionals.
