Láska, chaos a alpaka – Lane Melanie (2025)

Chaotic, tattooed Chess wants one thing from life: to rescue animals and provide them with a new home in her own breeding station. Just as her dream begins to take shape, her brother Peter goes missing. This is completely out of character for him, as Peter is – unlike Chess – the family's darling, who is also set to marry in four weeks. Chess doesn't hesitate for long and sets off in her brother's old VW van to search for him. Accompanying her on the journey are her dog Mango and Ross, an alpaca with behavioral issues who suffers from a fear of loss and separation and loves to emit piercing cries.
As if the car weren't already full enough, Matthew Brady, Peter's best friend, a polished lawyer focused primarily on his career, who wears a suit all day and knows best about everything, joins the search party. If there's anyone Chess doesn't want along, it's him, as he is not only a sarcastic city slicker and fool but also part of her past, which she is not particularly proud of. During the search for Peter, the two soon start to bicker sharply – but there's also a lot of chemistry between them.
It doesn't take long for Chess to become unsure: Does she want to strangle Matt, or would she rather kiss him? And what motive did Matt have for this journey?…
