Somatologie a latinská terminologie pro střední zdravotnické školy – Stuchlá Lada (2024)

The concept of the textbook is based on a thorough evaluation of available high school textbooks on somatology and the Latin language, as well as the author's own experience in teaching these subjects in the fields of Practical Nurse and Health Lyceum. The textbook aims to provide knowledge about the structure and function of the human body. It is therefore suitable as a basic textbook for a range of students in secondary health school programs, including Nursing, Practical Nurse, Health Lyceum, Nutritional Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Dental Technician Assistant, Healthcare Masseuse, Sports and Rehabilitation Masseuse, and Orthotic-Prosthetic Technician. However, it can also serve students in social fields and those in follow-up non-medical health programs at health schools. The chapters are organized by the various organ systems of the human body, concluding with an overview of Latin (and possibly Greek) anatomical terms and phrases, the knowledge of which is an integral part of studying health-related fields. To enhance the attractiveness of the material, interesting facts are also included for each system and organ.
