This Czech-language thriller begins when police discover the body of a young woman in a dilapidated container warehouse, with no obvious signs of violence. Forensic pathologist Julia Schwarz discovers that someone has cut off the woman’s ears and sewn on someone else’s. Could there be another body somewhere? A man is soon found dead without his hands, and in his kitchen the police discover a box containing the dead girl’s ears. The connection between the two victims is unmistakable. Julia and Florian realise they are dealing with an intelligent serial killer who plans every move precisely in advance. Julia gets dangerously close to him, but the culprit has anticipated this too and prepared for it.
