This is a unique publication dedicated to the principles and laws governing the functioning of financial systems and, within them, financial markets, with a special focus on the specific characteristics of various types of primarily financial, but also real investment instruments and their trading methods. The new edition has been expanded to include a discussion on the nature and evolution of money, including the gradual introduction of cryptocurrencies, and it has also been newly supplemented with a discussion on modern methods of using interest rates for monetary regulation. In the following text, the author has expanded the discussion on existing types of stocks and bonds, while also addressing the connections to structured bonds, and has expanded the explanation of fundamental analysis by separating the fundamental analysis of a company from the methods of conducting fundamental analysis of individual stock titles. Additional contributions must be seen in the substantial expansion of psychological analysis and the expansion of bond analysis, particularly regarding the methods of calculating their yields and the expansion of the discussion on real investments. Another new section of the book consists of a significant expansion of the discussion on hedge and ETF funds, as well as the inclusion of the issue of 'Private Equity Funds'.
