Zdravotník - první pomoc pro pedagogické pracovníky a pořadatele dětských táborů – group of authors (2022)

The reader should be able to call for help in a crisis situation after reading the book, know the basics of technical first aid, especially in the case of a traffic accident. They should be able to provide pre-medical first aid until the arrival of the emergency medical service in life-threatening situations, both improvising without tools and using commonly available materials – an automatic external defibrillator, the contents of a car first aid kit, a resuscitation mask. Furthermore, the reader will be able to decide whether to choose home treatment, visit a doctor, or call for an ambulance in the case of injuries and common illnesses. If they choose home treatment, they will know how to proceed. The reader will learn how to care for a child with frequent chronic illnesses, such as asthma or diabetes. There is also a chapter dedicated to the dangers associated with swimming and rescuing drowning individuals. Separate chapters address the legal aspects of providing first aid in the Czech Republic, medications, basic knowledge about the human body, or pregnancy and rapid childbirth. The book is a fundamental textbook for the retraining course for health workers at recovery events, aimed at camp health workers, first-year medical students in the first aid subject, and professionals working with children: teachers, camp leaders, sports club coaches,…
