Translation of the 43rd German edition of the world-renowned guide on building design principles for architects, designers, and other professionals involved in construction, which contains comprehensive materials for their design from layout solutions to technical details. In addition to civil buildings, the book addresses structures for manufacturing, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and more. The publication is based on German DIN standards, yet it serves as a unique resource for building design even in our country. Ernst Neufert first published the book "Designing Buildings" in April 1936. Over the following decades, the book became a cornerstone of global architectural creation and a generally recognized resource for building design. It is referenced in a large amount of architectural literature and today is translated into eighteen languages with minor adjustments. The original content of the book by Ernst Neufert continues to be updated after his death by Professor Johannes Kister with the support of the Neufert-Stiftung foundation, in collaboration with Ing. Mathias Brockhaus, Ing. Matthias Lohmann, and Ing. Patricia Merkel.
