The fifth volume of Opráski is here! True, many publications from the Historical Institute (HÚ) were released between the fourth and fifth volumes, but we have finally arrived. The chairman of HÚ, known as Jaz, does not hold back and surprises us with his knowledge and unmistakable humor on all seventy-two pages of the book. It starts off strong with Prince Krok and his discovery, the most valuable for humanity, continues with the strong duo Zmikund and Huz, who will teach us how to save. He bombards us with historical events left and right and does not shy away from the #metoo campaign. Just like always – fun and education in one. Well, you can't pass that up. Opráski sčeskí historje are short comics (strips) based on real historical foundations, sometimes complemented by a fabricated punchline. Proper grammar takes a back seat, while specific and often politically incorrect humor gets a lot of space. For these reasons, Opráski sčeskí historje has many fans as well as detractors. They first appeared on Facebook in November 2012, and since then, the number of their fans has been steadily increasing. It is high time that characters like Cyril and Metojed, Premisl Autokar II, Zmikund Lucemburski, or Dement Kutwald found more supporters on the pages of books.
