This publication is primarily intended for mid-level healthcare personnel planning to travel for work or study to German-speaking countries. However, it is also suitable for doctors, medical and health faculty students, or students from mid-level healthcare schools. It helps quickly orient oneself in a foreign environment regarding the most important initial healthcare vocabulary. The publication is user-friendly due to its clearly defined structure and logical sequence of topics. The author studied midwifery at the 1st Faculty of Medicine at Charles University. She obtained an international language certificate at the C2 level and has over ten years of experience teaching German in a language school. She participated in a work internship at a German hospital, from which she also drew information for her book. She regularly publishes articles related to the field of midwifery.
