The publication comprehensively addresses wound care management. It is intended for healthcare professionals who care for patients with non-healing wounds in clinical practice in hospitals, home care, social service facilities, and hospices. The issue is covered from the causes, related factors, diagnostics, therapy to specific types of wounds, their ongoing assessment, and subsequent care management. Specific non-healing wounds included in the monograph are pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, malignant and sororigennic (nurse-caused) wounds. Information on non-healing wounds reflects not only the physical manifestations of wounds but also the impact on pain, psychological experiences, and the social functioning of the patient and their family.
