Beschreibung
Anxiety is increasingly common among children, and an anxiety disorder can place significant limits on everyday life. A child may be unable to go to school, take part in leisure activities or spend time with friends, often resulting in isolation. Based on cognitive-behavioral therapy, the 55 entertaining activities in this book help children aged 6–11 break out of the vicious cycle of fear and anxiety. They encourage children to look at things from a wider perspective, strengthen their self-confidence and sense of self-worth, discover hidden abilities, use their imagination, learn to make decisions in a variety of situations and have fun in the process. The activities can be used when working with individuals or groups and incorporated into broader therapeutic programs. They are a useful addition to individual or group therapy and can also be used by parents of children with anxiety. The contents are in Czech.
