Beschreibung
The aim of the book is to better understand, based on a number of examples from the lives of young athletes and their families with whom the author works, how sport can be beneficial for the life and growth of a young person and how to fully develop these opportunities – but also how easily sport can become primarily a source of negative emotions, frustration, and demotivation. The book addresses parents who hold enormous power – they can amplify all the positive influences of sport, but they can also distort them into their most twisted form. This book will advise them on how to notice typical 'parenting mistakes' and help find an approach and style of communication that will allow the young athlete to get the most out of their sporting journey – both athletically and personally.
