Beschreibung
The book is an effective and practical guide for therapists. The authors work with acceptance and commitment therapy and demonstrate how it is possible to address the topic of life values during therapeutic sessions. Although it seems to be a basic and clear topic, the authors argue that it is not entirely simple. The book offers many practical examples, essentially descriptions of parts of various therapeutic conversations, in which the authors demonstrate how a therapist can open the question of life values, how to discuss them with a client, and how to guide the client towards what is essential in their life through questioning, interpretations, or simple basic human reactions, even if they may not be aware of it. The authors also do not moralize, even though the client's values may diverge from the notion of 'noble' life values.
