Beschreibung
Montessori education is increasingly spreading among parents. More and more kindergartens are being established that have 'Montessori' in their name. Parents often have no idea what to expect from Montessori institutions, or they find it difficult to navigate what a good Montessori kindergarten looks like that fully adheres to the given principles. The aim of the book is to show parents what such an authentic kindergarten looks like and also to answer the questions that arise during their visits to Montessori kindergartens. At the same time, the book explains why certain things happen here concerning child development and the theory of Montessori education, e.g., why there are no snowmen on the bulletin boards, why there is a working silence in the kindergarten, why everyone doesn't gather in a common circle in the morning, why fairy tales are not read here, whether there is too little movement in Montessori, how creativity is handled, why there are no toys in the classrooms, etc.? Parents will thus become aware and informed partners of the educators, knowing what to ask the teachers at the chosen kindergarten and being able to make an informed decision about which kindergarten is most suitable for their child.
