The book of fairy tales adheres to the principles of the genetic method of teaching reading. The fairy tales are written in capital letters and are arranged from stories composed solely of simple one-syllable words to those made up of two-syllable words, and finally to tales with three-syllable and four-syllable words, which are already more challenging for readers. The fairy tales are appropriately short so that children can easily read them on their own during class or as homework. The main characters of the stories are animals, and each fairy tale has a proverb as a subtitle, so the tales also provide children with a lesson.
