The journey through the forest becomes an exciting adventure for little Toník and also introduces him to some medicinal plants. The boy spends his holidays in the countryside with his grandmother, and because he hasn't been behaving very well, as a punishment, he unknowingly crosses a wandering root and gets lost in the woods. The reader follows Toník's thrilling adventure with flower dolls and fairies who try to help him find his way out of the mysterious thicket. Children will learn about some medicinal plants while reading, understand that every plant has its place in the world, and recognize that many plants can be useful to people. To reinforce their knowledge, they can answer questions at the end of each chapter together with their parents. Illustrative pictures help children in recognizing plants. The book is intended for younger school-age children, for reading aloud to preschoolers, their parents, and kindergarten teachers.
