The book is based on the author's lectures given in 1966 at the University of California. The author discusses sexuality from all possible angles in his typical essayistic, humorous, and at times blunt manner: how to talk about sexuality, how to deal with obscenity, how to conduct sexual education, about orgasm, about the use and abuse of sexual organs, about the relationship of sexuality to science, religion, health, ethics, aesthetics, intimacy, and marriage. A large part of the book is dedicated to the relationship between sexuality and transactional analysis, where the author uses diagrams to analyze sexual transactions in various types of relationships, discussing sexual games and scenarios.
