Beschreibung
Interviews from 1933 to 1961 uniquely capture the development of C. G. Jung's personality and spirit. The collection consists of about 20 interviews for newspapers, magazines, radio, and television. It also includes an interview with John Freeman for the BBC television station, which is famous for Jung's famous statement "I do not have to believe, but I know" regarding faith in God. In the interviews, Jung describes his relationship with Freud and his attitude towards classical psychoanalysis, expresses opinions on the wartime and post-war period (including references to Czechoslovakia), discusses the German mentality, responds to accusations of collaborating with Nazism, explains basic alchemical concepts, the notion of archetype, or the theme of personality typology, and mentions his family. The interviews provide insight into the way Jung communicated and reveal information that is otherwise difficult to find in his books or articles.
