Beschreibung
In this book, renowned psychotherapist Eric Berne develops the theme of life scripts using the basic concepts of transactional analysis. Life scripts are passed down to us by our parents through their upbringing, sometimes directly programming us in Berne's terminology, and during adolescence can lead to protests in the form of 'anti-scripts,' which, however, can be just as limiting as the original scripts. Therefore, the author offers suggestions on how to heal parental programming and thus change one's fate. To illustrate, Berne also analyzes the scripts of some well-known fairy tale characters (such as Snow White or Little Red Riding Hood). In the book, Berne emerges not only as a great observer and commentator on interpersonal relationships but also as a scientist who can systematize his findings and present them clearly to readers.
