Beschreibung
The fairy tale tells the story of a mermaid who is taken far from her native sea by the wretched sorcerer Mořemor through an evil spell, all the way to the spring of a mountain stream. The mermaid faces a harrowing journey home. Fortunately, she is helped by kind creatures that live in and around the water. Children will become familiar with the most common animals and plants around watercourses and the sea in a gentle manner while reading, and they will also learn about the water cycle (a mountain spring creates a stream, the stream flows into a creek, the creek into a river, and the river into the sea). After each chapter, there are several simple questions to help children reinforce the knowledge they have gained. The book is intended for preschoolers and younger school-age children.
