We parallelly follow the fates of four couples - the separating duo Alice and Michal, registered partners Petr and Vladimír, seemingly superficial wealthy individuals Beáta and Hubert, and the experienced couple Hanka and Kryštof, who already have one child from artificial insemination. All of them strive for the unborn 'kid' of single mother Klára, who is determined to find the best parents for it on her own. However, as often happens in life, everything gets complicated... The dramatic story by authors Kateřina Krobová and Lucie Macháčková tells how families can be formed in various and intricate ways.
