Caregiver Jiřina lives in a tired, uneventful marriage with the not-so-famous actor Luděk. That is until she decides to help one of her clients at the retirement home with what seems like an ordinary kindness. When aging writer Mojmír receives an offer for a generously paid author reading, he doesn't refuse – even though the reading is to take place at a team-building event for the company where Mojmír's ex-wife works.
