Beschreibung
The story of two women, Isabel and Lu, set on the Hawaiian island of O'ahu in two time frames – during the Pacific War and in 1965. After Pearl Harbor, Isabel is involved in deciphering Japanese codes. After being transferred to Hawaii, where her brother died, she meets his friend Matteo, and they cannot resist their mutual attraction, but their fates diverge. Additionally, Isabel loses her friend Gloria, who does not return from a trip with her boyfriend Dickie, who claims she drowned... In July 1965, a new modern resort opens in Hawaii. Among the VIP guests are the famous photographer Matteo, singer Joni Diaz, and young journalist Lu, originally from Hawaii. She becomes close to Matteo and Joni, but then Joni suddenly disappears. During the search, an old skeleton is discovered, and it is revealed to be Gloria, who, like Joni, was murdered. Which of the guests is the killer of both girls? Will Matteo reunite with the love he cannot forget? A captivating novel full of romance, tension, and beautiful descriptions of Hawaii's breathtaking nature.
