Thirty-four-year-old Myra Malone writes a blog from her attic about the miniature Villa with a capital V (and don't you dare call it a dollhouse!). Her stories have a legion of fans who hold their breath in anticipation of each article, exchanging photos of rooms modeled after the Minivilla and concocting theories about the mysterious and reclusive author. Myra herself is bound to the Villa by mysteries she cannot comprehend. On the other side of the country, Alex Rakes meets two Minivilla fans who want to replicate one of its rooms. However, Alex is surprised to recognize a reflection of his own life in the Villa. That room is his own bedroom, and the entire Villa is the family home passed down to him by his grandmother, who mysteriously disappeared when Alex was still a child.
