The true story of a woman who became a victim of kidnapping and spent 450 days as a hostage of jihadists in the Sahara. When Canadian Edith travels to Africa to get to know the local culture and landscape better, she has no idea that her ordinary sightseeing trip will end in a fifteen-month ordeal. While crossing from Burkina Faso to Benin, she and her Italian boyfriend are kidnapped by a group of armed men. They are taken far from civilization into the endless desert, where Edith reaches her very limits.
