These are the three narrators of Viewegh's story, in which serious themes like infidelity and the breakdown of marriage are infused with the grotesque, allowing the author to lighten the heavy burdens of the heroes with his unique humor. The recorders of paternal love are a testimony to the clash of two generations, but they also hint at the endless cycle of their intertwining. For no matter how rebellious children may be, they always end up resembling their parents.
