Beschreibung
In the 1920s, Englishwoman Bella Ainsworth opens a hotel in the picturesque town of Portofino on the idyllic Italian coast. She is trying to provide her family with a fresh start at a time when her relationship with her husband is in crisis, her younger son has died, and her older son has returned from the war injured. Bella has high hopes for the new hotel, but she must deal with many personal and operational difficulties, all while being affected by the harsh rise of Italian fascism and the blackmail of the local fascist politician Danioni.
