Greece, 1942. The home of twenty-year-old Sofia is being transformed beyond recognition by the war. While the girl tries to keep her father and younger sister alive, she becomes part of the anti-Nazi resistance. This brings immense danger. Then one day, she is faced with an important and difficult task that could be key for the resistance, but could also endanger her loved ones... Two generations later, Sofia's granddaughter Ava arrives in Greece. Heartbroken and feeling unmoored in her own life, everything changes when she reaches a small village overlooking the sparkling Ionian Sea.
