It's just another ordinary Wednesday until the phone rings in the editorial office and a terrifying threat comes through the receiver: "I'll take you down with a steel string." Journalist Alice Henderson is convinced that it's not personal. That it's an attack on the entire newspaper. However, she soon realizes that the opposite is true. The police investigation leads nowhere, so Alice's boyfriend hires private detective Matthew Hill to keep an eye on her. The situation escalates with each passing day. Someone is stalking her, but why? Someone wants her to suffer, but for what? Perhaps she touched someone in one of her articles?
