Beschreibung
The Practical Atlas of Acupuncture is based on the new WHO nomenclature of acupuncture points with official Czech names. The author, Professor MUDr. Ing. Petr Fiala, Ph.D., FIACE, is a recognized leading Czech expert on acupuncture who heads the Department of Acupuncture at IPVZ. The names of the points and meridians also align with the new international nomenclature of diseases WHO, ICD-11, which our ÚZIS is also publishing in 2023; Professor Fiala led the translation of Chapter 24. For all points, in addition to their new Czech translation, their interpretation and the circumstances of their origin are provided. The book contains dozens of photographs with precise localization of points, an anatomical description of their localization, and a detailed method for how even laypeople can find them. A number of tables and diagrams also aid in navigating the topic. For each point, detailed indications are provided according to both Western and traditional Chinese medicine. Finally, for each meridian, recommended combinations of points for the most common indications and diagnoses are listed. The Practical Atlas of Acupuncture is intended for doctors interested in acupuncture, but also for physiotherapists who utilize acupuncture points.
