Health-compensatory or health-adjusting exercises are defined as a set of exercises that focus on specific areas of the movement system (joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles), thereby purposefully contributing to the improvement of an individual's health, particularly the condition of the movement system. Health-compensatory exercises play an irreplaceable role in the primary and secondary prevention of functional disorders of the movement system, which is why we include them for all age groups. The aim of the book is to create an understanding of the development of health-compensatory programs related to specific health weaknesses of the movement system. Individual segments and areas of the movement system are functionally related, yet we present specific areas of the spine and joints separately. The book connects two main parts – a theoretical part and a practical part, in which you will find examples of individual exercises (from the simplest to medium and very difficult) applicable for creating individual movement programs.
