For the first time since 1900, there is an original domestic anatomical atlas here. A two-volume set with nearly 1300 illustrations and photographs. A lifetime book in Latin, Czech, and English. The staff of the Department of Anatomy at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, thus continues the rich tradition of Czech anatomy. The first volume of the atlas contains 476 illustrations of the anatomy of the upper and lower limbs and the trunk wall. Each section first presents the skeleton, followed by its joints and articulations, then the muscles, and finally the position and course of nerves and vessels within topographical anatomy. The atlas consists of anatomical images and diagrams (413) and images (63) obtained through various imaging methods (X-ray, CT, MRI). Anatomical structures are described in the international Terminologia Anatomica (1998), and each illustration is accompanied by explanatory text in Latin, Czech, and English. A glossary of the most common Latin anatomical terms and their translations into Czech and English is included.
