Limits to Growth (1972) is a groundbreaking study based on a computer model of global development. The authors analyze the effects of exponential population growth, industrialization, resource consumption and pollution on the planetary system. Its warning about exceeding the limits to growth and its call for sustainable development inspired environmental protection around the world. This is the first official Czech edition, published in Bedřich Moldan’s 1972 translation. Although the translation circulated only unofficially in the 1970s, it had a significant influence on Czechoslovak society at the time. The book is in Czech.
