Beschreibung
This Czech-language study follows the story of the Constitutional Charter of 29 February 1920, the fundamental constitutional document of the independent Czechoslovak state, from its creation through its fate up to 1948, when it was replaced by the so-called Constitution of 9 May. The first Czechoslovak Constitution is linked with the establishment of an independent state, as well as with the fateful moments that threatened Czechoslovak statehood in 1938 and 1939 and the hope of restoring it during and after the Second World War. The 1920 Constitutional Charter also served as one of the sources of inspiration in preparing the new Czech Constitution in 1992. The account of the first Czechoslovak Constitution is presented to readers in three volumes.
