The book addresses the issue of physical underachievement among younger school-age students in the context of school physical education through a detailed literature review and case study. Physical underachievement was identified using six deliberately selected motor tests (standing long jump, repeated sit-ups for 1 minute, shuttle run of 4 × 10 m, deep forward bend while standing, balance position test, and ball catching test) and potential determinants that could lead to physical underachievement among younger school-age students were identified in the context of other variables.
