Beschreibung
The publication deals with the evaluation of terrain modifications and the possibilities of utilizing the natural relief in the establishment of landscape parks, where the influence of the natural environment and its anthropogenic changes intertwine. The parks mentioned in this publication were selected because they are connected by the founders – Jan Rudolf Černín of Chudenice and his son Evžen Karl Černín – and they are located in different natural conditions. The author analyzes the possibilities of researching landscape parks from a geographical perspective in the introduction, further discussing methodological approaches to studying and processing data, including proposing a typology of terrain modifications in landscape parks. This is followed by an assessment of the philosophical and aesthetic views of the time that inspired the creation of landscape parks, as well as the principles of creating these works and the current conditions for their maintenance and reconstruction. The work also includes a comparison of the Černín landscape parks with the most significant parks in the Czech lands and abroad. Another section focuses on a detailed classification of model locations and the terrain modifications that were implemented in them. In the conclusion, the significance of terrain modifications for shaping landscape parks and their current maintenance is assessed.
