Beschreibung
This frequency dictionary of spoken Czech presents authentic spoken Czech, often in sharp contrast to standard written Czech. It shows how people actually speak, without the interference and distortions of language codification. The dictionary is based on the Prague Spoken Corpus, created from sociolinguistically representative recordings of conversations. The corpus is richly annotated for parts of speech, grammar, valency and style, and lemmatized, including multi-word lexemes. An accompanying CD contains the complete corpus together with a search program, allowing users to find extensive additional information, especially authentic contexts showing how particular expressions are used. It offers an exceptional opportunity to study real spoken Czech in context, including statistical analysis, something previously unavailable for either academic or educational purposes. The contents are in Czech.
